There’s so much choice!
Where do you even start?
You could sit down with Google all day, and drive yourself crazy making endless lists of cute cat names.
But which one will be the perfect fit for your own pussycat?
You can’t use just any old name for the latest addition to your furry family.
And, as you know, every pussycat is different.
It’s not a one-size-fits-all scenario.
And while you tear your hair out, the cat in question is sitting happily on your lap, looking up at you trustingly.
He purrs, and stretches slowly.
Do you know my name yet?
Alright then, wake me when you’ve got it sorted…
Now, if you close your eyes, and focus, you might be able to pluck the right cat name out of the air.
But that’s hard to do when the TV is blaring, and the phone is ringing.
Then there are the mournful howls of your poor nameless cat.
He’s reminding you that there’s an urgent need to go buy some top-of-the-line cat food.
After all, it’s the least you can do.
Because, believe me, he’s not going to answer to “Fluffy” for much longer…
So if you don’t have time to meditate in complete silence until you “hear” the right cat name, here’s what you do.
You cut through the endless choices by choosing a cat name category.
Settle on a category of cat names, and then choose from within that range.
Here are 6 cat name categories that will jump-start your creativity.

My cat’s name is Toffee. She was called this when we inherited her from my late mother-in-law. It sounds very sweet but in fact she’s quite a grumpy cat – and we love her for it as it gives her personality!
That’s Purrfect
